Guess What? I've been thinking..

Good news everyone, I spent a great deal of this weekend thinking and browsing.
A. Thinking is always a good thing.
B. Browsing leads to loving things.. and loving things leads to blog posts.

As I pondered and browsed I had a great epiphany... I am constantly drawn to the same things.
The same pictures, same styles, same stories etc. and I thought it'd be interesting to share them with you..
(aka: I hope that other people love these things too so that I don't look like such a freak when my tumblr is covered in these pictures haaa)

Feel free to raise your hand, jump up and down, shout out loud "ME TOO!", or grab the person next to them and tell them how strange it is that we're soo similar, as you read through.

1. Black and White Photos of Men, Boys, or Boys to Men.
I don't know what it is, maybe its the handsome men in the photo.. probably not.. its definitely the lack of color in the pikchas.. Jkz. But really, what could be more appealing than a dapper lad simplified by only black and white coloring? Nothing. Thats what.

2. Hair in Buns...
(No gross nappy boy bun hair for me though, nope, no thank you)
Do I wear my hair in a messy bun on top of my head to a fair share of my classes? I sure do. Do I try and make it look as "oh I just rolled out of bed and my hair looked great like this" as these ladies have? Another yes for Annie.

3. Large, fancy table settings.
All I have to say is, "Who doesn't love a good party with a good table setting?"
It makes the evening that much more fun.

4. Cape Cod style homes.
This one's pretty obvious why I'm drawn to it, right?

5. Peonies - simple as that.
This flower just makes me happy inside - and because of that I probably have 100 pictures of these gorgeous flowers liked on Tumblr. Not to mention they smell DEE-VINE.

6. Stripes, chevrons, anything that would make me dizzy to stare at for too long..
Clothes, blankets, necklaces, wallpaper, furniture... anything and everything chevron or striped is my obsession. I just can't get enough of it.
6.Wedding Cakes.
Planning for the future? Maybe.
In love with cake in general? Of course.
Monogramed cakes? Count me in.

I should just face it, shouldn't I? I'm obsessed with completely irresponsible things.
As a 20-something-year-old, I should be obsessed with:
1. My finances
2. My school work
3. My future
.... but no. I prefer attractive men, hairstyles, parties, fancy homes, beautiful flowers, fun patterns and cakes. Naturally.

What are y'all obsessed with!?

Top 5 Tuesday: Beauty Products I Can't Live Without

Just PeachyThis is my first time hopping on to Rachel's Top Five Tuesday and I'm Oh-so-excited.

This week's top five category is:
Top Five Beauty Products I Can't Live Without

This was certainly not an easy list to make, and I'm pretty sure I left a few trusty products behind.. But a girl likes what a girl likes, especially when it comes to beauty - Am I right, or am I right?

Story Time: I've never been a huge "make-up girl"...
(Read as: "I've honestly been confused for years about how to use most of the products on the market...").
I mean, I do of course know how to do the simple things: I can put on mascara, but I don't know how to curl my eyelashes - I can brush bronzer on my face, but I don't know how to use it to contour certain areas of my face -  I can swipe on some eye-shadow, but I have no CLUE how to do the "smokey eye" (totally devastating) - And worst of all? I can draw on eyeliner, but I continue to fail at doing that "cat-eye" swoop thing that Lauren Conrad does so well... Such a shame.

Regardless of my make-up failures, I still have the products I turn to when I'm just too frustrated to watch a YouTube video and learn how to put on fancy make-up. Most of these products have been in my make-up bag for quite some time, so they're essentially my close friends and I'd take a bullet for them...Enter: My new motto, "Too much? Too late." haha

1. Tinted Moisturizer: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer 20SPF Oil-Free

I can't quite remember how I was first turned on to this product... but what I do remember is that I don't know how to put on any other foundation haha so this baby is fool-proof! Plus it never leaves me looking greasy and matches wonderfully with my skin tone.
Truthfully? I may not even know why I have this product, but it is F.A.C.T that I'm obsessed with it. I originally bought it because Lindsye said that I needed primer for my eyeshadow (...because I wear such fancy eyeshadow all the time? Nahhtt). I thought, "What the heck, it looks easy enough to use... I mean its just a stick." - And with that final thought, I fell madly in love. This product is easy to use (usually just like two swipes on the eyelid) and can be worn alone or beneath eyeshadow! OH, and apparently it's "non-creasing"...I'm not sure what that means, but I'm going to go ahead and assume thats a good thing ha
This is yet another Lindsye inspired purchase, you could say she's the make-up artist in my life. I have to give her full credit for this one. She definitely purchased it before me and when I'd visit her I'd always beg, "Oh Lindsyeee, will you do sassy eye make-up for me!?" (and she would. Boy am I spoiled or what?) But eventually I decided it was time for me to get some fancy eyeshadow of my own and this was the best purchase I could have made. Not only does it come with "casual" day-time colors, but it also has a bunch of great dark ones to, in my case, experiment with!

4. Mascara: Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara

Gosh, I love this Mascara so much I don't even know where to begin. It's like the child I haven't had yet it's been with me so long. I'm not sure what it is that I like about this mascara, but I feel like I've just tried so many (both expensive and cheap) and I keep coming back to this one. It goes on smoothly, rarely clumping, makes my lashes look FUH-INEE, and rinses off fairly easily. So what's not to like?

This is hands down the saddest part of this post - This eyeliner, my beloved and favorite eyeliner, is being discontinued. So essentially, me telling you all how great this product is, isn't actually that helpful because soon you're not going to be able to get it... awkward.. Oh well. You can still think about it? I guess? Or something? Point being, this eyeliner glides on like a charm and stays put for hours. I also now own 4 extra tubes of it.. a girl has to be prepared! I mean what if they never come out with another eyeliner this amazing!? Riddle me that!? Just wait, everyone will come crawling for one of my tubes.

That's it, thats what makes me beautiful all day every day! hahaha
(or at least when I have enough time to do my makeup between waking up and going to class... #latesleeper)
Hop on over to Just Peachy and join in this week's Top 5 Tuesday!
I'd love to see what products you guys swear by - maybe I'll get lucky and even be able to use them!

Just A Little Green to Get You By...

Alright ya'll, todays musings are simple.
Only involving two of my favorite things (aka: things I really have an irrational love for): Diet soda and bright colored pants.

On a side note: spring break was lovely, glad to be home and safe. Granted around our fourth day there I was diagnosed with Bronchitis (woohoo, great spring break!) and had to miss out on quite a few fun activities. Up until that point I had been trying to hide it, for FOMO (fear of missing out), obvi. My mom would hear me cough and go "Annie, that sounds terrible.. maybe you should go back to bed?" and ohh no I'd always come up with some clever variation of "Nope mom, I'm fine, just uhh choked on my own spit or something.." (and it went just as awkward as that sounds..)
But a shot, inhaler, and quite a few large horse-pills later, this girl is back on her feet... with a few coughs every couple minutes..

So, on-ward and up-ward ladies!
First things first class, how many of you have recently felt extremely drawn toward kelly green pants and/or shorts? Good. Recognizing your affection is the first step.
I tried to deny it for awhile, but one day I just couldn't take it any more.
Just ask Swimmer Smanger, we were wandering through the mall and had just left Anthro and for some reason THE PANTS popped into my head. And I swear, just like lightening my brain went through all of the outfits I could create with green pants I decided on the SPOT I had to have them - and promptly drug Swimmer Smanger back into all stores we had previously visited, with one thing on the brain: Must. Get. Green. Pants.
Gonna be really honest here, I even started dreaming about myself wearing green pants as a part of my outfit every day... Too far? Too late.
Images c/o: 1. 2.
Now being "Green with Envy" has always been one of those phrases our parents taught us was a bad thing... but this time around? It's the best thing you could be... well being extremely and unhealthily envious is never a good thing, but I'm sure you catch my drift.

C/o

By far my favorite combination so far is this mixture of white, green, and another personal obsession of mine, cheetah print.

Simple? Check.
Classy? Check.
In my closet? No.
Working on it? For sure.

If the obsession has hit you just as hard (haha, see what I did there? Obsession? Recession? muahahaha) then take my word for it, get out there and get you some guhhreeen pants (and cheetah of course ha)

I haven't forgotten that it's "spring", or something along those lines, and summer will be sneaking up on us SUPA fast.. so for those who don't always love the constricting feeling of tight pants and 80 degree weather...

1. 2.

Now, although owning green pants feels like all I've ever wanted and more right now, I mean I could probably sing a song about it if you prompted me (or dropped a beat...) what would a green pants outfit be without a little beverage?
Enter: Diet Dr. Pepper.
I used to be (disgustingly) addicted to diet coke - those of you with the same problem, feel free to raise your hands - I know I'm not the only one out there.
Not only did I love DC for its low cal count, its really gross shade of brown, or the fact that one of my ex boyfriends would constantly remind me that his grandmother used DC to clean her garage floors.. (helloo, wouldn't that leave her garage SUPER sticky? Ugh. Ex boyfriends. Good for nothing.)
but I loved it for its unavoidable caffeinated kick.

No coffee? DC will do. Its hot outside but you need your fix? DC will do. Need to stay awake to watch a pointless Lifetime movie? DC will do.

As you can tell - DC was my life, but this past year at school my life came crashing down.. "The Hub" (or cafeteria.. or something like it) switched to Pepsi products. GASP! I know. It was devastating.
Yet this major change introduced me to my new love. Diet DP.
My cousin Tory had been drinking this for years, but I never quite had a taste for it - yet once that baby started flowing out of the fountains in the Hub, I was hooked.
With 33 less grams of sodium than DC and around the same amount of caffeine, I jumped on the DDP train.
Just wait girls, I'm bringing it back.

Thats all my brain has in it right now - thoughts on the green pants trend? Love for diet DP or DC?
