And I'm Back At it!

Helloooo Ladies and Gentlemen.

I'm back at school and feeling good - I mean regardless of all the homework that is slowly piling up in my planner.. but thats fine, at least its something to do right?
After almost two months at home (minus my two weeks in the UAE) I am ready to get back into the grove of actually accomplishing something every day... nothing major of course - because what college student wants to actually do major things everyday?
Granted: I consider waking up before 1PM a pretty major accomplishment. lolz.

When it comes to other accomplishments, besides finishing my most recent Christianity reading or my Religion of Bob Marley song listening ...
(Yes, I am really in this class, and yes jammin' to his music is often our homework. My life is only a slight joke - feel free to laugh along)
I consider finishing an episode or disk of a new TV show a pretty big accomplishment.
Aka: The real reason for this post? To share the lovely shows I've been watching, only to encourage possible procrastination or wasting of time - you can thank me later.

Now one of these shows might be a blast from the past.. because I certainly remember getting really excited when I was in like 6th grade if there was a new episode - not to mention one of the main characters wears a puka shell necklace (constantly), guess no one told the costume designers that such a fashion faux pas would really date the show later on..
Wondering what amazing show it is?
But....
OF COURSE!

Now I realize this show began in what? 2003? And like I said, I remember watching it when I was younger.. but lets be honest, pregnancy scares? Steroids? Slutty Cheerleaders?
These weren't exactly things I understood when I was 13. But now? Oh baby I love the drama of it!
Not to mention Swimmer Smanger owns all the seasons and has so graciously offered to let me borrow them all..
9 seasons of angst and major love triangles HERE I COME!
(I think I'm also secretly comforted by the fact that my life isn't nearly as insane as those of the characters on this show... who wouldn't be?)
Oh and PS: I searched dilligantly for a lovely image of Lucas and his beloved necklace..
Yup. This is real.
and MOVING ON.

Next on the obsessive TV list?

Downton Abbaaayyy aka: Downton Abbey

This is serious business, if you like Pride and Prejudice and period movies/TV shows - BE WARNED, you will be HOOKED.
It might be a PBS series, but set in the years leading up to World War I, all the characters are in period dress and have british accents.. whats not to like again? Not to mention, much like OTH.. there are pregnancy scares, love triangles, war, and scheming servants.
SO intense and emotional - I may have cried once or twice, but we'll keep that between us.

I watched the entire first season of this show in like a week on Netflix with... GET THIS: my father. We totally bonded over it. When something dramatic would happen he'd turn to me and go "OH-EM-GEE ANNIE! Totes did not see that coming! ___ may be pregnant with ___'s baby - BUT SHE HAS TO BE A VIRGIN TO GET MARRIED! This is so emotional." And I agree with every word haha who knew my pops could be so excited about fictional drama? Not me. But I'm pretty sure he doesn't appreciate the attractive British men like I do.. Oh he's go so much to learn.
Oh and Dame Maggie Smith is in it and she's great as EVER!
From the baddest betch as Prof. McGonagall to the most dramatic sassy Dowager Countess of Grantham, she's amazing, you love her a bit more with every word that comes out of her mouth.
Note: 1:01, 1:40, 2:14, or classic 2:31 - my dad LOLEEDDD at these. So they're obvi funny...

....Really, at the end of the day I've probably watched an unhealthy amount of episodes of these two shows  - but not a big deal, being in your 20s isn't supposed to be a health-conscious time of your life.. Right? ORRR Maybe I'll just keep telling myself that..

If you haven't already watched either of these two shows: A. I'm judging you a little bit.. but in a totally "just-looking-out-for-you way" of course. B. Get on it. They will change your life!

Any other shows y'all know of that I MUST watch? Just so that I can have more excuses to not do my homework or get to bed on time? I mean telling yourself "Just one more episode" is always valid :)

Until next time,
