Study, study... but really. STUDY.

It's that terrible time of year again:

Duh dun dun...FINALS.
(unless you're not in college, or high school.. then you don't have finals in which case I am EXTREMELY jealous haha)

And I am ready to get on top of things!

And since time creeps up on us all...
(I only have 12 days before finals!)
I've decided to compile a list of things its "O.K" to do during studying/finals time.
No I'm not talking about a recommendation of how to handle studying, or how to organize your notes..
But an "It's O.K list" - so if you find yourself doing any of these things while you're studying then:
"It's O.K - other people do it too."
( I definitely do them all, and so do my friends, thats how I compiled this list after all)
Even better? If you don't do these things? Feel free to do them starting now because I know they help me.. they are on this list for a reason:

1. You call your mom to cry about a professor not understanding either:
A. Your exam responses
B. Your papers
or
C. Just you as a student in general

All three are miserable and honestly? Moms always seem to be able to fix anything at any time, even with absolutely no idea what is going on. #miracleworkers

2. You seem to live on Dunkin' Donuts coffee (K-cups) and Heart to Heart cereal the entire duration of studying...
Days, months, weeks even... I mean caffeine and carbs - a girl's nightmare and dream combined haha

3. You burn a candle while you study...

Gotta love the scents of the Christmas season! AND isn't there some correlation between smell and memory? Maybe I need to start bringing my candles to exams...

4. You talk to yourself while studying...

Whether you're discussing the information, getting annoyed at the questions, or just really not understanding - It's fine, we all do it, don't be shy. Who better to have a conversation with than yourself?! You never argue with you, you never insult you, and you never stop listening to you!
hahah

5. You use tons and tons of highlighters
(color coded in my case)...
And you highlight enough that people ask you "Why didn't you just highlight the entire article" Bee-tee-dubs: I absolutely CANNOT stand when people say that to me. The ENTIRE ARTICLE was important, so maybe I should have highlighted it all, Jerk.
(P.S: WADDUPP AFRICAN CIV ARTICLE! >>)

6. Instead of doing work, you organize your iCal..
Just so that you can see how much work you have to do... and then freak out about how much work you have NOT been doing.. and waste more time.
#guiltyascharged

7. You take Tumblr breaks...
...A lot of them.
I'm guilty of it, I know I have friends that are guilty of it - and lets be honest, the girl or guy next to you is probably guilty of it as well.

8. You leave the T.V on in your room while you're studying...
As long as it's on mute - no distractions!
(Its always secretly kind of fun to stop for a second and watch the muted T.V just to see if you can guess what is going on - Olivia and Stabler on Law&Order SVU are easily my favorite. Stabler's always silently angry and Olivia's always silently pouting about something Stabler won't let her do.
Ugh, Men... and silent T.V. hahah)

9. You listen to classical music...
So that you don't find yourself focusing on the words... or singing along - I mean, c'mon - J. Biebs Christmas stuff is so good you almost HAVE to sing along #guilty. But remember: this is not your car, you do not need to have a solo-jam sesh, you need to get down to business (TO DEFEAT THE HUNS!)

10. Write 1000 (or more) lists on post it notes...

What you need to do, what you've done, what articles you need to read, what time things are due, what homework you still have left, daily plan etc.
Honestly? I love post-its so much that I may or may not have all mine contained in a tupperware container in my desk drawer... #ListMakersAnnon

So when you get down to studying everyone - just remember this list :)
Promise it'll help keep away those studying woes!

Until next time!

As Promised:

Yayayay! I've done it! Two posts in two days! Gosh, such a great blogger... nahht
Really though, I think I'm completely on the mend.
Next thing you know you all will be stuck reading like 10 posts a day from me..
That is also a "naahht" - But imma try to keep up!

More importantly, I so rudely left you guys with a serious cliff hanger yesterday!
I mean I knoww you all are dying to know what I bought.. but you're actually probably thinking:
"How far down do I have to scroll to not read her babbling about shopping?"
In which case it'll be about 12-15 inches down the screen or about 3 two-finger scrolls on a macbook!
Now on to:
What Did Annie Buy!?
(No, This is not going to be a usual thing - totally trying to cut down on the purchases...#opps?)

(except in red, not orange.. awk.)
(in Black)
PS: Its like $40 cheaper to order it here on Amazon!
(In Espresso)

Now just a few comments to justify my purchases to you (or to my bank account...):

The J.Crew Perfect Shirt in Tartan: is one of my new favorite shirts. They had it last season, when Sara purchased it (yes, I stole another clothing item idea from her), and obvi it was such a big seller that they HAD to bring it back. And lucky for me, I got to snatch that baby right up :)

The Lulu Lemon Vinyasa Scarf: by far one of my best purchases of this break. First there are tonz and tonz of ways to wear it, second it could be one of the warmest scarves I've ever owned - and I own a TON of scarves - slightly obsessive..

The J. Brand 29" Skinnies: so.. secret - I didn't actually purchase these but they were the closest thing I could find on polyvore #guilty. BUT I did link them up above to the Anthro site where you can get that pair - but I actually got a much cheaper and brighter red pair from Gap! They're like yogapant-sweatpant-jeans. Wore 'em today and I'm in love. I'll be sure to post the link to them when I find it!

The Amazon Kindle: firstly I just need to clarify that I NEVER and I mean NEVER thought that I would be an "electronic-reader" girl... I love the smell of new books, flipping the pages, comparing what I've read to how much I've got left, and I am a self-admitted last-page-reader (I just love predicting what will happen!) But I decided I'd give an e-reader a chance when I learned that I was going to need to take around 6 - 7 books (3 required, others for pleasure) with me on my trip to the UAE this January. Now, even though I'm extremely buff and strong (ha. ha. ha.), I don't particularly want to carry heavy books around with me... enter: THE KINDLE! Since my required books are available on it, and I can get my other books on there too... It was a win-win situation. I've already started one book on it and although its no thick, new, paperback, I really love it!

The J. Crew Keeper Chambray Shirt: I had been wanting this shirt forevaa, as I kept seeing it in cute outfits on Tumblr (Goshh I wish all the outfits I reblogged were mine..). So obviously I scampered over to the reliable J.Crew to see if they had it! And yes, much to my wallet's chagrin and my closet's pleasure.. they did. Then I, what I like to call, dated this shirt for awhile (aka: I went back to look at it like 3 days in a row, you know short "dates" to see if I like it hah). The price tag was heavy and I wasn't sure if it was worth it - but once that lovely college student discount came into play, yup, it was a done deal.  I wore it today with the red jeans, gold Tory Burch flats and a gray J.Crew sweater -- It was kind of like scurrying around in my pajamas all day, the outfit was so comfortable.

The Lulu Lemon Wunder Under Pant: well, I'm sure I've mentioned before how much I love Lulu Lemon.. and this purchase was just a way to further my obsession and collection of yoga-pants/leggings. BONUS though: they're not see-thru so they work as "pants"... or something haha
The JPK Paris Nylon Bucket Bag: I was (or at least felt I was..) in need of a nice black bag that could work with a pair of running shorts and t-shirt or a nice outfit when going out to dinner. So I was looking around Nordstrom at their purses, letting my jaw drop at all the $350 and above price tags (I'm on a nanny/college student budget here! ha) and I was about to just settle for another small Longchamp bag, but in black... when I saw it! This black beauty (lolz) was exactly what I needed! It has tons of pockets inside of it and doesn't turn into a black hole that most large purses usually turn into.
Even better? I needed to transfer money, and I didn't want to do it on my phone at the mall.. so I went home with the intention to go back the next day to get it. As I was transferring money I was just boppin' around Amazon.com (because lets be real, that place is fantastic.) and just on a whim I searched this bag. Lucky me! They had it where it was down from $165 to $118 (with shipping) - one of my best Amazon finds in a long time! (I linked the cheaper site on Amazon above!) #SOthrifty #GoMe

The UGG Caspia Boot: I know I know, UGG boots, Annie? Really? Yes. Really. Because these are so much different! They look really earthy (appealed to that hippy in me..) and I only know one other person who has them my mother. Normally this would deter me - but nope, I love 'em. It was 25 degrees here the other day and I just frolicked across campus in these with absolutely no fear of frostbitten toes.  #GoMe...again

Oh gosh.
Once again - this post got really long...really fast.
Last night Lindsye told me I needed to learn how to "tone it down"
(in a loving way of course - some haha-s were included in the text, an obvious "loving" giveaway ha)
But nope, I'm just not a "tone-it-down" kind of girl.
Sahrry I'm not sahrryy - feel free to tune out if you're over my rambling

Andddd, drum roll please?
I've already got the post prepared for tomorrow my friends!
So exciting haha
(it's the little things in life, right?)

I'll leave you guys with this:

Easily one of my favorite quotes...
