Oh and PS:

I found this video on stars-apart's tumblr and
I think it could be one of the most precious (and I have to add sexy..) things in the entire youtube world!
It could just be beacuse I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt but that's not the point :)

And if you've never seen any of his movies? GET ON IT.
I reccommend:
the early 90's classic : 10 Things I hate About You
and
the hopeless romantic: 500 Days of Summer

Plus, who knew he spoke french? Sadly I didn't...

Am I Growing Up or what..

Over the past few days I feel like I've been making so many important decisions and hearing about others life changing choices that I think I've aged 10 years!
(which scares me out the wazoo..)

In terms of my important decisions:
I needed to figure out my summer job
Up until my 18th summer on cape cod I spent ever summer sailing and had no time for a job - but once I turned 19 things changed, my dad started asking me what my "plan" was and what I wanted to do.. Truthfully? I had no idea. So for my 19th summer on the Cape, I just lounged - and let me tell you, that got old - Don't get me wrong laying on the beach and spending time with my best friend isn't the worst situation at all! But it can get REAL boring
So last summer (20th Summer) I decided to sign up for a nannying website:

Now you may think, "Annie, that's almost as bad as offering your self on CraigsList!"
And that is exactly what I thought in the beginning, but sometimes you just have to say "What the Hell, I'm desperate!" - and thats the exact situation I was in: a desperate one.
As sketchy as it sounds, I ended up finding one of the most amazing families to nanny for.
They lived about two minutes away from my house, two children, both parents doctors - it was a great situation.

My two nuggets, Jakey (4) and LiaLu (8)
I worked for them for about 8 weeks and I have to admit, it was one of the hardest things I've ever done.
I had been babysitting for YEARS since I was 12, I had taken the safe-sitter course and I thought I knew everything about nannying/babysitting, what could be new?
The Answer? LOTS could be new.
I learned so much over the course of those 8 weeks, I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Don't get me wrong, I did come home crying a few nights, stressed out and confused about what the family wanted from me.

But at the end of the summer, I was in love with those two children and I didn't know what I would have done without the family. They taught me lessons I wouldn't have learned anywhere else and it may seem like a stretch, but I truly believe they made me a more mature and better person.
(this is where you go, "AWW - how precious!" haha)

Therefore, this summer, when the same family came a knockin' I decided - why not.
I've been e-mailing the children all school year and I  miss them terribly...
So I signed on for another summer of long days with lots of love and lessons!

With that out of the way, I only have hopeful thoughts for summer and am counting down the days 'till I set my feet on that Osterville soil!

Next thing on my "Growing Older List": Talk of Marriage

OH MY GOODNESS. I don't think I could be more scared of one word as I am of "marriage"
And it fascinates me that people are starting to get engaged so young!

This is a picture from my older cousin's wedding a few years ago on the Cape and looking at it makes me happy and scared all at the same time!
I think the main thing that scares me is the fact that I barely know who I am or what I plan on doing next, I don't think I'd know what to do with someone else's future attached to mine - I wouldn't know anymore of what to do than they would, and that freaks me out haha
Plus, I don't even have a potential spouse! Or at least one that I could handle living with ha ha nor do I know who would be in my wedding (besides my best friends..)
But..
What prompted all of this was hearing about one of my ex-boyfriends from high school, at the age of 19, getting engaged.
We dated my junior year of high school and he was a sweet guy and so nice - just not the guy for me. We've remained friends and I certainly didn't take him as the type to get married early (he was a bit of a, uh.. to put it nicely.. player) so I was amazed to learn about his engagement! Apparently he had only been dating this girl for around two months, I didn't even know about her, so it's all fairly sudden!
He's planning on leaving the school he's at on the East Coast to be with his fiancé on the West Coast - I don't know what he plans on doing after that but, big change right?
If he's happy then I think that's wonderful! I'm just a little sad that he may be missing out on some key life experiences in college - everyone makes their own decisions and if this is what he wants then I wish him good luck and tons of happiness in his future!

What do you guys think about early marriage (I know, this is a scary question...) and what are your plans for summer jobs!? I'd love to hear what everyone else does with their time :)

Until next time,

Let's Play Catch-Up!

Oh man - Sitting down to write a new post? I'm just so excited I finally found the time!

I had a wonderful time in Mexico - no pictures are up but once my mom uploads them (yes, she was the only one to take pictures) I'll hop right on sharing some of them!
Puerto Vallarta was lovely - managed to get a wonderful tan AND made some great memories with one of my best friends - what more could a girl ask for?

ALSO: I cut four inches of my hair off - BIG DAY. It was a crazy spur of the moment decision but I'm in love with it - I must admit, short hair sure is easier to take care of.
Please excuse the hand, its awkward - I know.
Oh and the fact that its looking a bit scraggily, its the end of the day ha
Regardless of my ever changing hair and spring break there are tons of other things I want to chat about:

First I'd like to start by saying how absolutely amazing it was to get home from a week in Mexico and be greeted by so many wonderful comments and new followers! You guys are amazing to say the least. The second I turned on my phone in the Minnesota airport, I went through all my e-mails and couldn't stop smiling at my notifications - best welcome home ever, and I owe it all to you guys!

Even better was receiving the Stylish Blogger Award  from Sweet, Sassy, Southern and Classy!
This easily made my week! Thank you so much my dear!
I stumbled upon her blog a while back, before I had even started mine and used to check her updates all the time! I'm so excited that she chose me!

The rules for this award are as follows:
1. Link back and thank the person who gave you the award
2. Share seven things about yourself
3. Award five recently discovered blogs
4. Contact them and tell them about their award!

(I'm so excited about my seven things - haha I love sharing random things about myself!)

1.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE Country Music
I don't know what it is about this genre - considering the fact that so many people dislike it so much -
but I could listen to country music anytime and anywhere. It immediately puts me in a good mood (its even better when I can sing along :)) The best is summer time, when you can sing country music at the top of your lungs with the windows down. Secretly, I think I like country music so much more than any other kind, is because it tells a story. Most songs aren't made up of random derogatory phrases about women, drinking, or getting high (okay, so there is a lot of mention of drinking ha) but the songs tell stories about people, their lives and memories and I just think thats lovely.
Some of my favorites are:
- Corey Smith
(His song "Carolina"? I know the words forwards and backwards)
-Josh Turner
(Before I agree to marry ANY man,
he must know all of the words to Josh Turner's "Would you go with me")
-Darius Rucker
(Anything he sings, and I mean ANYTHING is lovely
check out -"This" - it's a really reassuring song for me!)
-Eli Young Band
(Oh goodness, it's all amazing, but "So Close Now" really turned me on to them)
-Eric Church
("Hell on the Heart"? Yes please.)
etc.

After a long day on the water..
2.  I've been sailing since I can remember.
My dad first introduced me to sailing when we spend our first summer on Cape Cod.
I started taking lessons when I was seven, and fell in love with it when I was about 15. So it took awhile haha (really it just took one cute boy and one HUGE crush to get me into it)
I sailed in my first regatta when I was 15 and then after that I just couldn't get enough.
I've spent most of my time racing 420s but spend a ton of time on my dad's J22
Regardless, Sailing is a definite love of mine.

3.  I am OBSESSED with needlepointing
I even have a lovely little oilcloth bag to keep everything together!

One of my wonderful friends from Cape Cod first introduced me to needle pointing two summers ago - Since then? It's all I do during the summer. Whether I'm at the beach, sitting watching T.V or in for a long car ride - my favorite thing to do is needlepoint.
I started with a belt for my dad and have now branched out into keychains and designing my own patterns which is SO fun.
Since I began I've finished two belts and around six keychains! I'm currently working on this lovely belt:

Yup. Saw it 5 times in theaters

4. I have a weakness for dumb humor
I'm talking the Hangover or Anchorman, Dane Cook, and stupid stupid YouTube Videos - I just can't get enough
I watched a video of two furbies talking to eachother the other day (REMEMBER FURBIES?) and I swear I laughed for a solid 30 minutes. I definitely cried.
I know, its mindless, and just so stupid, but these things brighten my days!

Sadly, these aren't mine - but they're precious nonetheless!
5. I'm obsessed with Monograms!
How preppy of me right? One time one of my guy friends came into my room and asked:
"Annie, why the heck are your initials everywhere? Are you worried you're going to forget? And they're ALL out of order."
Clearly he knows what he's talking about haha but I just think they're such a great clean way to personalize things, what's not to like?
(my favorites are totes with monograms, total weakness)

Yup - big green square haha

6. My favorite color is green!
Simple as that. Oh wait, maybe not. My favorite color is not just any green - I LOVE grass green or kelly green. Now that may sound bratty, but a girl likes what a girl likes!

7. I've never done karaoke but I know what song I'll sing:
Callin' Baton Rouge by Garth Brooks
I just need to get up the guts to get up on stage and belt it - granted I won't do it without one of my best friends, but its certainly on the bucket list!

Told you I love country music! :)

Last but not least:

I pass this award on to these five lovely ladies!

Check out these five blogs and I promise you won't regret it!

Have a wonderful day, tomorrow and today! (depending on when you're reading this..)

Until next time -

So Soon!

I'm back from Mexico - a nice shade of bronze and greatly missing the blogging world!

"Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow... It's only a day away.."
Big post coming tomorrow - and I've got a lot to say!

(Ps: Before my post - I'm excited for all my new followers! Thank you guys, you're amazing!)

Just a precious picture to tide you over!

Oh If Only I Could Be Them..

I've offically made it! I'm free for spring break! I just turned in my last take-home midterm 20 minutes ago and I'm already feeling great - like 3000lbs has been lifted of my shoulders.
It'll be put back on in a week - but thats not the point haha

For now I'm packing all of my things, and counting down the hours until Mexican sun, food, and relaxation - I'm so excited!

On another note - Here it is! The (hopefully) much anticipated Celebrity Favorites post!
I feel like I've been mentioning it for awhile now, but it really hasn't been that long..
Regardless! I'm excited to share my favorites with you :)

Let me just say I struggled so much trying to narrow my list down to simply five amazing women
I swear, I could have posted pictures and talked about at least 20 women in Hollywood!
Those listed below are all women I see as not only style Icons, but good role models and from what I know, just all around good people (granted, this is simply based on my reading of people magazine.. haha)

First and foremost - MY ALL TIME FAVORITE: Sandra Bullock
I can't think of enough good things to say about her - she's just amazing!
She's one of my favorite people to look for in the Tabloids - I feel like she's a strong woman and someone who girls all around the world could look up to.
Not to mention she has AMAZING style and is beautiful beyond belief.

I have to say two of my favorite movies have her in it -
The Blind Side
The Proposal
Both of these roles were just amazing, she transformed from an empowered mother to a hilarious work-a-holic and I love every second of both films!
(if you haven't seen one of these, or either of them, you must go see 'em! They're both extremely entertaining)

 Hard to believe its the
same woman - blonde or brunette she's beautiful!
(I also forgot to mention, I love her new baby, from what I think - she'll be an amazing mother!)

Next: Emma Stone

I don't know what it is about her, but I think she's one of the coolest starlets to recently hit Hollywood! And at 22, she's certainly a girl college students can relate to!

She's beautiful, I love the versitility of her hair color and the fact that she doesn't look like the rest of Hollywood - Like golfergal said last night "she kind of has slits for eyes... I don't think she's that pretty"
I can totally see where she's coming from - but I think thats what makes her so cool!

Easy A (one of her most recent films) is my new She's The Man - my go to film
If I've had a bad day, or I'm home sick and just in the mood to laugh
I turn straight to Easy A -  it's witty and actually teaches a lesson to young girls!
Scamper out and rent it if you haven't already- I guarantee you'll laugh through the entire thing
OH - and Penn Badgley is in it, so what isn't to love?!

Next: Reese Witherspoon
What's not to love about this gorgeous actress and devoted mom?
She's done so many films I can't keep track, but everytime she pulls me back in and I fall even more in love with her! I'll admit it - I really loved it when she was dating Jake Gyllenhal. Two beautiful people in love? had me head over heels.
AND - Just look at how grown up her daughter, Ava, is?
They could practically be twins - lucky girl!
She's destined to be just as beautiful as her mother.

Closely Following Reese - Gwenyth Paltrow

Maybe it's her role in Glee as Holly Holiday - or the fact that she's now has a singing career along with two kids - but I'm just in awe of her!

I think she's a stunning woman who has gorgeous style.
I also really appreciate the fact that she's not often found in the tabloids, it makes her seem as if she's more down to Earth, which I assume to be a great quality!

Lastly (because this post is getting long!): Selena Gomez
Now I understand that this may come off as a bit out of left field,
But recently I've come to admire her.
I don't quite know why,
I think it's the fact that she's young and has yet to have a mental break down or become somewhat corrupted like Miley Cyrus or Demi Lovato.
I also secretly really love her relationship with Justin Bieber,
I think it's really precious!
(even though she is two years older - I'm certainly not one to judge!)

Others who almost made the list: Jennifer Aniston, Natalie Portman, Blake Lively, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Nettles -
and of course there are men who are amazing actors also!

Who are some of your favorite top celebs?

Hope that wasn't too long and you enjoyed,
Have a fun and wonderful weekend!

Until next time -

The Luck O' The Irish

Oh my goodness, its been too long, don't cha think?

Midterms has certainly taken it out of me, I'll be honest, at some point I didn't think I was going to survive - but now I'm home free and off to Mexico in four days! YESSS

More importantly - today is St. Patrick's day. And truthfully, I don't care much for this holiday. To me its simply a day to wear green and for people to get inexplicably drunk. Mind you! I don't care I think that sounds great! Green is my favorite color after all, I just don't usually participate - but today I had a change of heart. I have decided to take part in the St. Patrick's day tradition. I will be going out this evening, and even wearing a GREEN BELT! What has this world come to?! ha ha

Even though I plan on participating I will still be sticking to my classy roots - I don't quite support getting sloppy and wearing a shirt with a leprechaun on it..
So, tonight I'm wearing this:

Please excuse the obvious photo-booth quality of this photo -
golfergal is getting ready and couldn't take it haha
 - A black dress from Forever 21
(its from this past summer, so I doubt they have it,
but there's a dress exactly like it, just in white, at Lulus!)

 - The belt is a silk belt/tie off of a dress I got from Anthro two years ago.
Isn't it great when you can take pieces from the past and make a great new outfit?
I'm real excited about it if you can't tell ha ha

Now I know I promised a post on my favorite celebs,
but I think that'd just take too much time for you all to read after this.
And lets be honest - college students attention spans aren't that long!

Thus - I will leave you with this picture
Via: SomeEcards
I feel like MANY of my friends will agree to this, this evening!

Happy St. Patty's day, be safe and look out for the celeb post tomorrow!

A big post is coming! Just give me until Wednesday afternoon!

You'll just have to settle for a nice picture! :)

Two Papers Down!

FINALLY, I have finished my two papers due today!

(this is how I felt earlier this morning at around 3AM...Don't Rory and Lorelai always sum things up perfectly?)

But nowww:
I'm having a little mental party with my self! No more writing about sacrifice in Indian religions, OR writing about the importance of nature versus reason during the Romantic Era!
I feel like I've been freeeeeed!

Feel free to have a celebration with me!

Yes, lilly pendants for my mental celebration!

Good luck to everyone on their Midterms or have fun on Spring Break if you're done today!

10 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me

In the library again.. I just LOVE MIDTERMS ha ha
At least I have some wonderful pandora stations to keep me company!

I thought I'd take a break to just write a quick post, since I'm pretty sure it produces endorphins or something and makes me happy! And it's always better to study happy, right?

I've been boppin' through the blogosphere recently, and not just blogger, but tumblr too
and there are tons and tons of posts about lists about people's lives, you know what I mean?
Like, "List 20 things you're scared of.." or "Name the 5 most important people in your life..." etc..
So I thought I'd give into the trend and do a post on, "Ten Things I'm Pretty Sure You Don't Know About Me" (unless you're one of my best friends that reads this blog, then you probably know more than these 10 things)

First thing: I have three best friends, and when I say best friends I'm not talking about the "I only talk to her in the hallways, but she knows about all of my crushes best friend" or the "we've known eachother since we were 2, but don't really talk anymore best friend"
I'm talking about the kind that I'd jump in front of a bus for and I know they'd do the same for me.
(Not to discredit my other best friends! I love them all to death and they know that!)
(swimmer smanger, golf gal, liza, the bell )
The most interesting part about my three best friends is that only two of them live near me and went to high school with me - the other one is from Boston and I only get to see her when I'm on Cape in the summer.

The two that live nearest to me, I'll just use their real names - Sara and Lindsye - don't go to college with me, but they do go to a school 45 minutes away, so I've survived. But regardless it was one of the hardest decisions to make, to not go to school with your two best friends? I never thought I'd have to make that choice, granted I never thought I'd find friends like them. These two girls have been best friends since they were in kindergarten and so graciously let me into their friendship our junior year of high school, and I can't explain how much that changed my life.
They're two of the most amazing girls in the world. Although I haven't known them since diapers, I feel like its sure been more than 3 and a half years - or maybe we've just been through enough together that it seems like ages. All three of us may be complete opposites - but I just like to think that's how we keep each other grounded
I'm going to post a photo of the three of us, but I know that in about 20 minutes I'll get a text from one of them saying "Annie, WHY THE HECK DID YOU CHOSE THAT PICTURE? I LOOK TERRIBLE" - but at the end of the day, we've taken more pictures than I can pick from and they are both truly beautiful girls inside and out haha
I love you both more than you know.
I probably owe you each a hundred bucks or so,
but more than that I owe my sanity and happiness to you two.

As I mentioned before: There is another one ha she and I have been best friends for over five years and have managed to forge a friendship on 8 weeks together in the summer time. I'm pretty sure she and I are the same person. Shes at school at Union College
in New York so clearly we aren't close enough to bop on over to see each other like Sara and Lindsye and I - but regardless, our bond is crazy. We've had moments I can't even explain, from drunken summer nights to sitting at home watching criminal minds and going to bed at 8PM, she's my other half.
(Oh. She also secretly thinks she's ke$ha. Its not a big deal.)
LOVE YOU TOR
This may not be the most amazing picture, but I think there are a total of like 3 pictures that we have together where we look ourselves so this will have to do..

(sorry, that best friends thing was long, but what can I say, I'm blessed with AMAZING FRIENDS)

Second Thing: As I've talked about before interior design makes me the happiest ever. I don't know what it is about clean lines and bright colors but they can make me happy in literally seconds. It's probably because I love to think about my future home :)

Third Thing: If you haven't already caught on - I don't live in the midwest in the summer I live in Osterville Cape Cod MA. I've never spent a summer anywhere else and I don't plan on ever doing anything different. We have a small "compound" as my dad would call it, that we share with my dad's brother and his wife and three kids (all older than me, I'm the precious 20 year old baby). I truly believe that the experiences I've had with my family and friends in Cape Cod have made me who I am today and for that I'm incredibly grateful.

Fourth Thing: I am so far from flawless it's incredible, but I embrace it anyway. I'll be the first to admit that my life has not been the most perfect. I've screwed many things up along the way - from not appreciating what I have to not taking advantages of opportunities put in front of me - but I promise I have learned more than anyone may believe and I am on my way to setting everything straight again.

Fifth Thing: This is real strange, like thinking about writing this is making me laugh. Now don't judge me but I have a very strange obsession with iPhone cases. I couldn't live without my iPhone, but I am a girl of change and constantly want to change my phone, and I mean literally switch out phones. But because this isn't possible I've settled for just owning an ungodly amount of phone cases. Therefore I can change my "phone" whenever I want!
I am particularly in love with Speck Candy Shell iPhone 4 covers - I own three ha ha. But more recently I've had my eye on the beautiful new lilly pulitzer iphone cases...  I feel like i'll be purchasing one soon ha

Sixth Thing: Speaking of change.. I LOVE to re-arrange my room. I don't know what it is but the feeling of coming home to a newly organized and situated room is like a drug to me! I just get really happy and excited ha ha. I've only changed my dorm room about four times this year but at home I change it at least once a month. Crazy I know! I think part of it may be the amazement of what I can do with what I have!

Seventh Thing: I am, as much as I hate to admit it, a compulsive buyer. I don't think things through or I just don't think to the future.. Its not a fantastic quality but I'm working on it ha
Luckily I have Lindsye (one of my previously mentioned best friends) to keep me thinking straight.
I think her favorite question to ask me is either:
a. "Annie, how many of those do you already own?"
or
b. "Do you REALLY need that, like, will you die tomorrow if you don't have it?"

I am so thankful for those questions, I know they've saved me ridiculous amounts of money ha ha

Eigth Thing: My two favorite TV shows are Law & Order : SVU or Criminal minds. I could watch them for days! Earlier this semester I bought the first four seasons of Criminal Minds, and I'd watch an episode before I went to bed - I still have no idea how I don't have vivid nightmares, but I'm certainly thankful I don't.

Ninth Thing: I'm a religious studies major. That may sound farfetched but I'm just in love with religion. From Christianity to Jainism I'm fascinated by them all! It's not simply history - it's about how people chose to live their lives, what they believe in, and I just love that. You may also be wondering where I plan on going in life with this crazy major? Well I either want to go to law school or become a teacher (religions teacher obvi ha)

Tenth Thing: My parents are my best friends..This may seem like one of the strangest things to have on a list like this, considering the fact that I've already talked about my best friends. But I have to mention my parents. They are two of my best friends also. I literally don't know where I'd be in life with out them.
My mom and I have ups and downs,
and when I say ups and downs I really do mean peaks and valleys.
But she knows me like the back of her hand, much like a mother should, and loves me anyway.
She's my biggest fan and without her encouragement and love
I'd probably still be living in a cardboard box in my driveway like I wanted to do when I was 6.

My dad, I don't even know what to say about him. He is my... other half? ultimate best friend? I think we're secretly the same person (no pun intended). We have the exact same sense of humor and can rag on each other sarcastically for hours.
He could be the one person who understands me the best.

Ultimately, I really don't know what I'd do without either of them. I love you guys.
(Yes. I know you both read my blog.)

What are ten things people don't know about you?

Okay, I'm out! ITS THURSDAY! ALMOST FRIDAY! and I've got a boat-load of homework.
Hope you have a beautiful Friday!

Two Posts In One Night!? WHAT!?

I know, I've already posted tonight - but the song I have on repeat while studying is something that I just must share (need not worry I've already texted my best friends about it saying they MUST download it.)

Be warned -
A. This song may put you to sleep
B. If you have lost all hope in boys (or men, either or) - It will return after listening to this.
C. It may or may not make you think about your wedding..
D. This song may make you fall in love, maybe not with another person,
but with hopes and dreams of the future - or with Tony Lucca...

Sorry its not the best version, but it'll do! Jump ahead to :39 if you just want the song to start already haha

Ps: Best part? He's writing from personal experience - WHAT A ROMANTIC!

Happy Listening!

The One and Only Want List

As I'm sitting studying for midterms, working on papers, counting down the last days until spring break - I cant help but take breaks to online shop.. aka: Add more things to my "Want List" which I keep on a little sticky on my desktop..

With my 21st birthday coming up I can't help but turn it into more of a "21st Birthday Gift List" although most of this would prolllyyy add up to more than my parents love me.. haha just kidding I know they love me but I'm pretty sure they'd rather show it through a sweet e-mail not a $20,000 new car!

Thus: This post is about my "Want List", something that I feel every girl secretly has - whether she keeps it in her planner, in her phone, on a sticky on her computer desk top or just has vivid images in her head - every girl has one! So why not just put it out there, we have good taste!

First is my most recent literal OBSESSION: A Gold Signet Ring - I want one so bad! I'm pretty sure I think about them at least once a day? Maybe more.. it's totally possible! I just love them, so delicate, preppy AND personalized with your own monogram.. precious.

This specific ring is from Sarah Chloe - hop on over to the site and there's even more amazing jewelry there! Even better? This is one of the cheaper gold signet rings I've found - this store will definitely be getting my order...

Second is the another item of jewelry I've been lusting after for some time... A gold " Script Cut Out Monogram" necklace. I just think they're amazing! So stylish and delicate (much like the signet ring haha) They add a nice pop of gold or silver (whichever you prefer) while not seeming to ostentatious. After seeing one on a girl at school I found one on Nantucket that summer in a little boutique, and I had the hardest time resisting purchasing it..BUT I've done well so far so now I just wait.. I can't seem to justify spending $300 on simply a necklace but it is a classic piece of jewelry..

Again, this specific piece is from Sarah Chloe, it's not one of the cheapest but one of the few that I really like! Another place to get on is at Max & Chloe - Either one has beautiful necklaces! Check them out, just don't fall too in love, it's detrimental to your health, I can totally attest to that haha

Third, to continue the jewelry trend is a BEAUTIFUL David Yurman Freshwater Pearl bracelet. I don't own anything David Yurman (I know! How un-preppy of me!?) I used to have this precious bracelet until one of my, she shall not be named, old best friends borrowed it and dropped it down a pool drain one summer.. I can't even explain how angry I was. Moral of the story, don't lend out your Yurman. But on a more positive note, my stylish cousin (who works for Neiman Marcus corporate - so she has to have some fashion advice) recommended this around christmas time, she has one too, and I haven't been able to get it off the brain! I just think it'd be a wonderful addition to my stack (I have an all silver stack, so it needs some gold!) I think this is going to be my main birthday request but.. It's still up in the air!

I found this particular one at my nearest Saks Fifth Avenue, but you can find it online too at Saks Online! Or just the direct David Yurman site!

Fourthis a much more minor gift - I really just need a new pair of Jack rodgers haha I want the gold metallic ones, I have simple brown ones but they're just a little done in! Besides my rainbows they're my go-to sandal at the Cape which means they get a great deal of wear and tear... oops! I also just realized that most of my post has been Gold oriented.. Guess it's a new thing! I always thought I was a more silver girl.. Oh well haha

These particular sandals are just from the Jack Rodgers website, so bop on ova sistass!

Last but not definitely least, is the HUGE HUGE HUGE stretch of a new car.. I drive a really really lovely black volvo wagon that was my moms - now I love it to death but I'd really just like an SUV - for some strange  reason I'm a total Big Car girl. I love the idea of sitting up high haha. And yes, I do know they're gas guzzlers, I don't really know what to say about that! But I still love them. There are two specific cars that I'd faint if I recieved:

First is the ever practical Honda CR-V, one of my good friends on campus has a beautiful black one that she got this past summer and when she lets me drive it? I'm in heaven! Best part? They're not overly expensive and one of the safest cars out there!

Now, I really like the idea of a navy car, but I can't quite tell from this picture if it's possible? What do you think!?

Second? The HUGE stretch for my dad, a beautiful GMC Yukon. Oh. My. GOSH. I can't even explain how I'd react if I got this. I may have to spend a couple days in the hospital out of pure shock. I just think this is a wonderful car. IMAGINE HOW HIGH YOU SIT!? My cousins in Dallas all drive cars like this and when I ride with them? Its like I can practically see the whole world! (sligghtt exaggeration haha but you get what I'm saying) One could say I'm just head-over-heels in love with this car..

Okay, So now that I have sufficiently spent my time lusting over everything that I've ever wanted in my 20s... I think it's time to return to my papers.. Ew.

Do you guys have want lists? What are some of your top things! I'd love new ideas :)

Have a wonderful rest of Wednesday, and a terrific Thursday!

I's iz back!

First let me start of by letting you guys know how good it feels to finally write another post! I may still have three midterms and three papers left but I certainly have enough time to post - How exciting!

During my time away from this lovely blog - I was thinking constantly about what I wanted my "come-back post" to be about. I've finally decided. This post is going to be about my love for pictures of interior design.

I don't know what it is about them but I find that any pictures that depict my favorite type of interior design (and some exterior) calm me down! They're like a kind of happy place for me.. and because I'd love to share this happiness with you (whether you find these comforting or not..) I thought I'd post my top ten interior/exterior design pictures that I've compiled over the... well past couple of months haha

1.  I don't know what it is about this "den" or "family room" - but it reminds me of cape cod and it just makes me smile every time I see it!

2.  This bathroom amazes me. It's just so simple - with the white and nautical theme, it's certainly a room after my own heart! Especially that view.. Can you say beautiful?

3. Another nautical inspired room. The summery feel of this room makes me long for July and smile all at the same time! I must have those french doors in my home when I "grow up" - along with the navy stripped duvets..

4. First exterior photo - How wonderful do you think that would be during the summer? Lounging by the pool with a  Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee in hand in an area secluded by trees? Sounds just lovely to me! (Not to mention that cute balcony off of the second floor..)

5. Another preppy bedroom. Like I've posted before, I just love coral/salmon - paired with the light blue? I must have it! Looks like the perfect bedroom in a summer house.

6. What is there to say about this home besides -
B-E-A-U-TEE-FUL. The thought of sitting on rocking chairs on that front porch puts me in my happy place immediately.

7. On the note of a sitting on a porch... This picture just captures it all. Whether in the summer, spring, or fall, I'd be out there in a heartbeat. (probably blogging hahah)

8. I'm just going to come out and say it. I'm OBSESSED with this bedroom. Can you imagine how much fun it'd be to sleep in one of those bunks with your cousins/friends/family underneath!? I'd love it! Favorite part? The individual reading lights and windows - its like your own personal paradise!

9. Another bedroom - have you noticed that I like bedrooms with nooks? I just love the idea of sleeping in a practically enclosed area - like it's your own little hideaway! That's probably why I live in a single dorm room - I'm all about personal space ha ha

10. Last but not least - AN AH-MAZING CLOSET! Do you see that? I mean check your screen, your contacts, glasses, or eyes in general - it's beautiful! I'd die for that space.. or just simply enough beautiful clothing to fill it!

Well that was happy, wasn't it? I love just looking at them. I could honestly look for pictures like these for the rest of my life!
(ps: I do not take credit for any of these photos, I have found them on other blogs and tumblr - if any of these are yours and you'd like credit, just let me know! I'd be more than happy to give it to you!)

Lastly I'd like to talk about one of my old favorite TV shows...
(Well it's not exactly an old TV show but I like the old version of it better haha)

Gossip Girl
Now, I haven't watched it since the second season and I am not saying that anything is wrong with the current seasons of it...I just really miss the first two seasons.

A. Chuck and Blair's blooming and "tormented" love? I lusted for that my entire senior year of high school.
B. Dan and Serena? They were easily my favorite couple on TV (besides Blair and Chuck hah)

But ultimately just Chuck. I really loved him during the first two seasons. If you asked my best friends they would tell you I was (and am still..) 100% obsessed with his character.
I'm pretty sure I thought I was Blair -
If Chuck treated her badly? I'd cry. If he told her he loved her? I'd be happy.
Episode: "Summer Kind of Wonderful"
B: Give me a reason, and "I'm Chuck Bass" doesn't count
C: 'Cause you don't want to..
B: Not good enough..
C:'Cause I don't want you to..
B: That's not enough...
C:What else is there?
B: The true reason I should stay right where I am, and not get in the car
- three words, eight letters - say it and I'm yours.

I'm a mess. I know haha but a girl can dream!

I think the show now has just kind of run out of ideas? Or at least plausible ones?
Any thoughts? I'd love to hear your opinion on the TV sensation Gossip Girl!

I'm done for today friends, But I'll be back with more to say tomorrow!
