Cheers to the Freakin' Weekend..

Yes, I am so cliché that I decided to quote Rhianna as my post title, am I embarrassed? A little bit. Did I sing this song a ton this weekend? Definitely. And since it was an over-all good weekend, I thought I'd attribute it to Ms.. (Well, what's her last name again? Do we even know?).
And since I've got a bunch to do tonight I'm only going to be able to provide you guys with a weekend re-cap! But TTT is a definite tomorow!

Friday Night: Lindsye came for a visit! So fun - gotta love having friends from other schools here, not to mention Sara was here last weekend.. do I always have someone visiting me? Maybe. #sorryimnotsorry
Point being: Lindsye and I went out - like I actually made it to a party. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE to go out, but my main issue is this semester I haven't actually had the time to go out - I'm taking somehow (even though they're both 100 level) impossible courses #thanksDPU and I've had to devote my weekend nights to staying on top of those. BUT we did manage to have a bit of fun, we bopped from a Beta live out to Sigma Chi where we discovered a new real cool way to drink a beer: Flabongo - Yup, get excited. It's exactly what you think:
Always gotta turn to Urbandictionary on these things..

Good news, one of my friends (totally not giving them away) did it like a champ.
It was an experience to say the least - but super exciting.
Of course I was asked to do it next - but I must admit that my chugging skills are not up to par, and I'm a lightweight so I stayed away from this beer-filled pink bird that evening.

It was a little warm by the end,
so I had to resort to my hair up, how sad!
Moving on to: Saturday Night
(wait, what!? I went out two nights in a row? I know. It's slightly bizarre..)
It was parents weekend, so of course my mom (not dad, he had an extremely important tennis tournament.. Thanks dad, try and get a bit more waspy on me ha) made it to the oh so lovely tailgate, and oh so nicely declined a keystone or natty light..so I offered her some Cherry Kamchatka... again, she said no... Oh mother - you've got so much to learn/re-learn about college! Haha it was a great time having all the parents there - and even better, Lindsye was along for the ride!
That evening there was a bit of a cocktail party/small gathering at Beta for the guys, their parents, and their dates of choice. I was one of the lucky ones to get invited, along with my roommate and of course tons of other females. It was a lovely time, I even had my fair share of champagne from the champagne fountain! (maybe a little too much of a share..) How crazy. Over all: I was home by 12, eating mac and cheese (naturally, can't go a night without some instant easy-mac...) and in bed by 12:30 (I like to stick to my schedules)!

Ultimately, Friday and Saturday were both wins, but unfortunately Sunday was a fail for me - I had to take some "recovery time" for myself before I could hop back into the real world, aka: the library and homework.

Thats it and Happy Monday all!
I hope you can keep your sanity this Monday - Friday is only four days away!

Ps: Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post! 11 comments was super fun to come home to :) I promise I'll get back to them all ASAP and I look forward to checking out new blogs!

OH! I FORGOT TO TELL YOU: I approached my mother with the idea of purchasing the Zara bag mentioned in last post? Oh yah, she and I are going to go "mother-daughter" split on it. Aka: We're going to "share" the price and "share" the purse.. I hope she knows she's signing on to just me boppin around with it.. haha

Hahha I recently learned about the flabongo. I especially love that you paired it with my light beer of choice... yes I still drink it years later if given the opportunity.

I've never seen the flamingo thing.. but it's actually really intriguing to me... I want to figure out how it works!! (My chugging capabilities are very limited as well, so I doubt I'd ever use it..) Sounds like a fun weekend! :)
